    Football: October 30 vs. New Haven, 1 p.m.
    The Setters will take a much needed week off as their upcoming game at Bentley has been cancelled after the tragic death of starting cornerback D.J. Henry. Pace will resume play in two weeks when they play host to New Haven.

    Women's Soccer: October 19 vs. Adelphi, 3:30 p.m.
    The Setters have won two straight with victories over Le Moyne and Bentley last week. Cheyenne James and Lauren Foballe lead the team in goals scored, with four each. Amanda Mundorf still leads the team in total points with 11 (2 goals, 7 assists).

    Women's Volleyball: October 20 vs. St. Rose, 7 p.m.
    Nora Rugova was recently named the NE-10 Player of the Week and Shea Hansen earned Setter of the Week honors. The team has won 8 of its last 10 matches and jumped all the way to second place in the Northeast 10.

2010 Volleyball Preview

After finishing 17-12 and qualifying for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in nine years, the Setters expectations should be even higher in 2010.

THE TIME IS NOW

Setters eyeing NE-10 Championship and postseason victories after going one-and-done in both the conference and NCAA tournaments

PLEASANTVILLE, NY– It was August 30 of last year and the Setters had just began the season 0-2, including a 3-1 loss to a very good Dowling squad in their first match of the year.

Despite opening the year winless at the Dowling College Tournament, then sophomore Shea Hansen remained optimistic.

“We knew that Dowling was very good, and we did pretty well against them,” Hansen said in a Setters Spotlight last year. “We still didn’t win, but when we play them again we will know what we need to work on.” Read the rest of this entry »

The Scoop: Pace lost to a tough Dowling squad for the second time this season last Wednesday, but rallied from behind to earn a victory at NYIT, 3-2, on Monday. The volleyball team continues to be the most impressive team on campus right now, sitting at 5-4. Pace Volleyball defeats Queens 3-0

KINGS  QUEENS OF QUEENS: Pace dominates 3-0

PLEASANTVILLE, NY– During the first timeout of the match, Pace led Queens by a score of 21-12. Journey’s hit song Anyway You Want It was blasting through the gymnasium. Women’s Volleyball drops second match of day

Pace falls again, drops second match of the day

DOWLING, NY— In its second match of the day, the Pace women’s volleyball team fell to Bridgeport College, 3-1 (25-19, 15-25, 25-18, 25-19), in the Dowling College Invitational. Women’s Volleyball Drops Season Opener

DOWLING, NY– The Pace women’s volleyball team dropped its season opener, 3-1, against Dowling in the Dowling College Invitational.  In four games, the Setters fell 26-24, 24-26, 25-21, and 25-19. With the loss, Pace falls to 0-1 on the season, while Dowling begins the season 1-0.

Despite the loss, sophomore Shea Hansen picked up right where she left off last season, however, totaling a team-high 26 assists to go along with seven digs. Junior Victoria Pompilus led the team with 12 kills and three blocks, while freshman Nora Rugova, in her Pace debut, had seven kills and a team-high four service aces. Read the rest of this entry »

2009 Pace Women’s Volleyball Season Preview

PLEASANTVILLE, NY— “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.” And for the Pace women’s volleyball team of 2008, that sentiment could not be any truer.

Sitting at 10-3 on October 3, and 3-0 in the Northeast 10 Conference, the Setters were sitting pretty, and had their eyes set on a special season. They had coasted through the first month of the season and were set to make a run at the Northeast 10 title. Read the rest of this entry »
